  1. I don’t think I have any singles in particular in mind, but do you think you could review some music by Rie fu?

  2. Perhaps her “Rie fu” or “Rose Album” era? I started following her around rhe “Tobira Album” era…I just recently torrented some of her older stuff but haven’t gotten around to listening to it yet…do you need me to send it to you?

  3. What about um… MOON, koda kumi? o:
    it releases on 06.11.08 ;-; also it’s an singleeee~

  4. how about you review capsule or COLTEMONIKHA? o:

You like Perfume, you should like them too. >>

COLTEMONIKHA doesn’t have singles, so no eras really. >> But it’d be great if you reviewed capsule’s Sugarless GiRL era~ <3

  5. ^ Yeah, about my request, the better capsule eras are actually the Phony Phonic and Cutie Cinema Replay ones. So if you do end up reviewing them, it’s your choice. Just saying. >>

  6. haloo iedereen

  7. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, G∞VER era.
    Really, anything HaiKara related.

  17. I like your blog!!!

    I would reccomend,

    Hello Project
    Yuna Ito
    YUI
    BoA

  18. Also AKB48

  19. ^ I won’t be featuring any new artists for a while, considering I’m so behind. But when I have more room I may consider a few of your choices.

  20. I realise I’m a bit late on the list but do try RURUTIA. Her songs are very beautiful and less mainstream jpop. I would say most of her songs are beautiful.

She just recently released her new album “Seirios” on 27th February 09. Maybe try her “Water Forest” album.

  21. ^ I won’t be featuring anyone for a while since I’m getting overwhelmed with new releases. And since I already have some waiting. But I’ll definately try her out sometime.

  22. how about trying some aoyama thelma?
i know you’re not adding any artists yet but, just try her out, you might like her. :)

  23. aww you don’t like rurutia but each to their own (Although I must admit I hated the first song I ever heard of hers -that raspy voice bugged me a bit- but eventually after quite a while, heard more songs and it was the ethereal music and the images they conjured that captivated me. It was the same with ai otsuka – i hated her fast songs)

anyway thanks for trying her out! :)

other recommendations (i have a tendency to recommend less well known artists – maybe you’ll end up liking some):

Rin’ – if you like a mix of traditional japanese music with strong beats

RYTHEM – a duo who have voices that harmonises very well with each other, try listening to some of their older stuff

  24. ^ Sorry, everything is pretty. And I’d like her if she didn’t whisper. ;__;

  25. Would you mind trying out Hidemi Uematsu? She debuted in October of 2008 and has released two singles so far. I @#%& love her.

I recommend ‘Trauma’ first (the PV for this is stunning), ‘Jidai’, and then finally ‘Dear My Friends’ for a change of pace. I hope you like her!

Oh, and I’ll be starting a blog on wordpress for music reviews and stuffs soon. I hope I’ll be able to add you and vice-versa! ;D

  26. ^ Sure I could do that. I won’t be listening to anyone new for a bit though. But I’ll definately check her out.

Oh and I’d love to add you! Whenever the time comes just comment me and I’ll add you ASAP!

  27. I know you said you won’t be listening to anyone new for a while, but I think you should check out:
    Maaya Sakamoto
    May’n
    Megumi Nakajima
    Hearts Grow

  28. Aragaki Yui (Make my day is cutesy but addictive, her new album “hug” drops on the 17th)

Copter 4016882 (lesser known Yasutaka Nakata group)

    COLTEMONIKHA (YES PRZ)

Siori (a newcomer to the scene but I like her)

  29. Buono! :3

  30. Akiko Shikata

  31. Ayane/junko hirata she’s got 2 albums, one trance album and another coming out next week, and a bunch of really good singles. i’d suggest Endless Tears.

  32. Have you heard Remioromen’s music? They’re quite nice.

  33. CSJH The Grace

They’re from Korea, but they have two Japanese albums out

  34. how bout LEO Imai, POLYSICS, and angela

  35. Ok, so sadly you didn’t like Remioromen. But I will never give up!

You seem to have a preference to female singers, and so you should try “Miho Fukuhara”! I think “Hanabi Sky” would be a great single to start off with :)

  36. ALI Project?

  37. Azu?
    Suga Shikao?

  38. ALI PROJECT. :3 They’d seem like someone you would review. ;D <3

  39. how about Chiaki Ishikawa?

  40. SHIINA RINGO.
    j/k She fucking sucks. </3

How about MISIA? Amazing voice and vocal range + her music is pretty good too.

  41. How about Miho Fukuhara?
