ravex’s I RAVE U feat. DJ OZMA was released on December 17th, 2008. It’s their debut single and it charted at #33 on the Oricon Weekly Charts.
To be completely honest, I really can’t stand I RAVE U feat DJ OZMA. Mainly because of DJ OZMA. He’s such a FREAK. Seriously. This song is also really messy and sloppy put together. There’s far too much going on with the countless amounts of synth randomly placed on top of each other, random shouting, yelling segments. DJ OZMA doesn’t have the best vocals either. Luckily, ravex doesn’t make a mistake like this again in their future songs… Thank God.
Luckily HOUSE NATION is much better. This time, ravex collaborates with LISA, the former singer of m-flo. This song is kind of sloppy as well, but the way it’s all put together makes it really catchy. At times, this song gets really dull, because it kind of repeats the same lines over and over again. Despite that, it’s catchy, but not the best.
…Extended Version of I RAVE U, more annoying yelling, more annoying sloppiness… more annoying DJ OZMA. MOVING ON.
I RAVE U is interesting. I guess you could say it’s an instrumental… but there’s already an instrumental? But, there’s no lyrics in it at all… and… I’M CONFUSED! Oh well, this song sounds a lot better without all the annoyances… and dare I say… catchy? I still think this song is a hot mess, but it does actually sound good without DJ OZMA in it.
