2. GLORIA
3. Lacrimosa ~instrumental~
Kalafina’s Lacrimosa was released on March 4th, 2009. It’s their 4th single.
I will admit, after listening to Kalafina’s album, then listening to Lacrimosa, I was a little underwhelemed. I’m in no way saying it’s a bad song, but it isn’t as strong as the material on their album. This is your typical Yuki Kajiura orchestral/dance track, with bells, heavenly back up vocals, and other sounds that I can’t identify. Despite the song being a little lack-luster, the girls sound better than ever and continue to show strong vocals through out the entire song.
This is a new B-side. GLORIA is just straight-up piano, different for Kalafina and Yuki Kajiura, right? Thought this song is rather simple for Kajiura, I think the girls sing with much grace and eloquence and they did well for their first piano ballad. I will admit, this is probably my least favourite Kalafina single.
Overall Grade:

Lulz, everyone says Lacrimosa sounded underwhelming after listening to SEVENTH HEAVEN. xp I however, listened to the single first. ^-^
Lacrimosa was a very straight forward song, but it was good. :3
