Eri Nobuchika’s Kodou was released on December 7th, 2005. It’s her 4th single and failed to appear on the Oricon Weekly Charts.
Following a similar style as Sketch for Summer, Kodou comes in as the last single for the nobuchikaeri era. This one, however, is a lot more jazzy, featuring a brass section. It starts out with just piano, like Sketch for Summer, but when the chorus comes in the drums, strings, and brass come in. Nothing really else about this song, other than that Eri’s voice has more back-up than before, otherwise the song stays the same pretty much throughout.
The incognito deja vu mix of Kodou is pretty cool. It adds a lot more jazz elements and it also changes the song’s tone completely. Luckily Eri doesn’t have an back-up and you get to hear her strong voice. O: Once the normal verses/chorus end at around 5 minutes into the song, the remaining 3 minutes are dedicated to the instrumental, which is fantastic because it gets even MORE jazzy.
And lastly, we have the g.rina remixx of Sketch for Summer. The whole song is completely changed, adding an echo-y more ethereal sound to it. I thought is was a really neat remix, because of how surreal it sounded.
