3. Dream World SOIDOG MIX

4. Namida no Saki ni SOIDOG MIX

Crystal Kay’s Namida no Saki ni was released on June 11th, 2008. It’s her 24th single and debuted at #42, selling 2,288 copies in its first week.

Namida no Saki ni opens with blaring guitar rifts, and snaps. For me, this was a little weird because after hearing ONE and Shining, it was a little different. Anyway, despite the criticism, I actually liked this song. Sure, Crystal sounds kinda choppy at some points but in the end it works. I like the guitar/R&B style of the song too. Overall, this song was neat and catchy.

Following a more hispanic route, with an R&B twist is Girl Move On. This song is extremely infectious and it gets stuck in my head really easily. I really like the chorus because she adds a little Spanish in it “quiero, te quiero.” The spanish guitar, with the tango-sounding beats, R&B beats, as well as some quiet electric guitar is amazing. I prefer this song to Namida no Saki ni.

The soidog remix of Dream World is really cool. I like the electropop style it takes on the song. I haven’t heard the original, but if it sounds as half as good as this, then maybe I’ll like it. Surprisingly, I like this remix.

The soidog remix of Namida no Saki ni also ventures into the electropop world. I thought that the thumping beats and the bellowing synth worked perfectly with Crystal’s voice. Finally! Two remixes I LIKE!
