ayaka’s Te wo Tsunagou / Ai wo Utaou was released on March 5th, 2008. It’s her 8th single and debuted at #7 on the Oricon Weekly Charts, selling a total of 41,791 copies. The first track was used as the theme song for the movie Doraemon Nobita to Midori no Kyojinden.

I have to admit, Te wo Tsunagou is a kinda boring throughout most of the song. I mean I like the calming acoustuic and all, but it doesn’t really stand out until the end of the song when the electric guitar. I guess I’m just being a little biased, but yeah. Anyway, ayaka’s voice sounds great, the instrumental is just kinda boring. The ending of the song is great, when everything comes together, the piano, guitars, drums, and all that and it just sounds awesome. I applaud her for her vocal performance. Still, it’s another good quality track, despite the somewhat boring instrumental.

Ai wo Utaou is a lot like Te wo Tsunagou, just more upbeat. It’s a lot like the second half of it, instrumental wise, with the electric guitars and the like. I do prefer Te wo Tsunagou though, because ayaka’s voice sounded a little weird at times.

The live version of Mikazuki is PERFECT. Words cannot describe how well ayaka’s lives are, she gets an A+ on this song!
