D’espairsRay KAMIKAZE was released on August 6th, 2008. It’s their 10th single and debuted at #30 on the Oricon Weekly Charts, selling 4,994 copies in its first week.

The beginning of KAMIKAZE is really weird. I don’t know really how to describe it. But that shortly turns into the guitar and the like. HIZUMI’s voice is under a vocoder for a bit, which I thought was strange. o.o This song reminded me a lot of BRILLIANT for some reason. I didn’t really have any problems with this song, other than the vocoder, which I thought was a little much. Otherwise, great vocals and great instrumental.

Scissors begins with HIZUMI screaming, and it sounds really raspy and weird. For the verses, his voice is kind of layered with someone whispering with him as he sings the lyrics. I like this song than the previous track, because I just like the chorus more, the screaming I could’ve done with out but I guess it adds more affect to the song, which is never a bad thing. o.o DON’T JUDGE ME. D<

These guys ALWAYSALWAYS surprise me when they do lives. They are so amazing at them. HIZUMI always sounds good, but this time the music kinda drowns him out. I like the normal version of BRILLIANT more, the live version drowns HIZUMI out a lot. Also, sometimes it sounds like he’s straining himself to sing.
