ayaka × Kobukuro’s WINDING ROAD was released on February 28th, 2007. It’s ayaka’s 5th single, and her first collaboration with Kobukuro, and it debuted at #2 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, selling 131,198 copies in its first week.
Possibly one of the best collab. singles I have ever heard is definately WINDING ROAD. I love the a cappela at the beginning, because all their voices blend in well together. I like the upbeat sound to the song with the piano, and assorted brass instruments. Everyone sounds great seperately, especially the bigger member of Kobukuro, I really like his voice. ayaka sounds amazing too, but I kind of have a problem with the tiny member of Kobukuro, his falsetto isn’t that good and it just sounds weird. Like I said, one of the best collabs. I’ve heard.
Overall Grade:
ROFL Bigger and Tiny member of kobukuro!
That was especially funny because I called them big/small or young/old depending on the day.
Go try their new single “Anata To” too! Would love to hear your thoughts on that! =D

I love ayaka’s voice but I don’t like her songs at all.
BUT her collaborations with kobukuro are amazing! She should record an entire album with them. It would be so awesome!

tranquilla: that’s funny. i thought i was the only who dislike her songs but like her voice. i’m glad someone is on the same wavelength as me. the only song i like from ayaka is winding road and okaeri.
