BEYOND~Karada no Kanata – AAA

Tracks:

1. BEYOND~Karada no Kanata

2. One Night Animal

3. MIRAGE [83key Remix]

4. BEYOND~Karada no Kanata (Instrumental)

5. One Night Animal (Instrumental)

AAA’s BEYOND~Karada no Kanata was released on May 28th, 2008. It’s their 18th single and debuted at #6 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, selling 17,945 copies in its first week.

I was really surprised when I first hear BEYOND~Karada no Kanata, because it lacked ANY trace of pop or synth it. So I wasn’t really confident on how it would sound because AAA really has a distinct sound. But after I listened to it, it was a really nice change from their usual stuff. This song is full-blown rock and it.. well, rocks! Everyone sounds great (even those I don’t like). The only major issue I had with it was that the drums sounded really sloppy and noisy, out of place if you wish. Otherwise, this is a really nice song, and like I said a great change from their usual.

Now THIS is the normal AAA. One Night Animal is just their typical pop song, with that beat. This song is great, it sounds great and all but… I wish everyone was a little more projective. Everyone seemed to be quieter than usual. The song just seemed to pass by, because of that. Good song, vocals could use more oomph though.

The 83key remix of MIRAGE… totally ruins the song. D: The vocals don’t fit at all and the music is just sloppy and annoying. I don’t recommend this remix if you really liked the original.

  1. I agree about the sloppy drums, and the lack of oomph in ONA’s vocals, and the crappy remix.

Great review! =D (But to be honest, this single was like a C or D for me. =/)
