Ken Hirai’s Kimi no Suki na Toko was released on February 28th, 2007. It’s his 26th single and peaked at #5, selling 49,866 in its first week. The title track was used as the opening theme for the dorama Enka no Joou.
I really enjoyed Kimi no Suki na Toko because of the simplicity of it. It’s not too complicated and sloppy and has the right things added. Sure, it’s not the best, but it’s still comforting and an overall upbeat track. I guess you could call it a ballad. I like the meaning of the song too. I like the arrangement of instruments too, the piano and such. :3
I found Utsukushii Hito to be a little depressing. There’s only piano and Ken’s vocals are quite emotional to s tie to all together. But I guess it’s what Ken’s best known for, his depressing ballads. I miss the happy up beat tracks! T_T
The HALFBY’s music for momo REMIX of By My Melody is… quite annoying. It’s a mess with all the annoying voices, whistle sounds, and just, UGH. It’s not good at ALL. S-L-O-P-P-Y. And WTF with the breathing noises!?
