Ken Hirai’s By My Melody was released on June 14th, 2006. It’s his 24th single and peaked at #2 on the Oricon Charts, selling 45,395 copies in its first week.

Wow! By My Melody is a great pop song. It’s upbeat and has a really catchy beat. It followed a similar style as POP STAR but with a lot less synth. It’s got a happy mood and is a good song for waking up in the morning. I really like the somewhat heavy beat in the backround and the violins in the backround.

Next, is the great B-side hug. It’s much slower and softer. It contrasts with By My Melody perfectly because it’s a lot calmer. But it still has a positive message. I like the acoustic guitar and the snapping throughout the song.
